Nava envisions a future where digital tools make it easier for families to receive benefits through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). With the support of Social Safety Net Product Studio, funded by Schmidt Futures, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Ballmer Group, and Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies, Nava is working with the state of Montana, a participant advisory council, and a state advisory group to develop and pilot and open source participant recertification portal. Follow along as we share what we learn with the larger WIC community.
The discussion for this Demo Day will center around how we built a participant advisory council and a state advisory group to inform design and development, and findings from our initial user research with participants and staff.
