Nava is excited to announce two new executives have joined the leadership team: Samantha Kwok as Vice President of Engineering and Marvin McLain as Vice President of Program Delivery for Nava’s Federal Health portfolio.

Kwok brings over 20 years of extensive leadership experience scaling engineering organizations, driving innovation, and delivering high-impact solutions aligned with business goals. She will drive the growth of Nava’s engineering organization, ensuring effective execution and high-quality delivery, and fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and talent development. Kwok will also shape Nava’s technology strategy and set the direction for how we’ll use technology to achieve business goals.

“Samantha brings a passion for leveraging technology to drive meaningful results that aligns with Nava’s commitment to building user-centered, impactful solutions.” said Nava Chief Delivery Officer Jodi Leo. “Her dynamic leadership approach will help Nava deliver innovative solutions that empower organizations and the communities they serve.”

Kwok’s career spans leadership roles at DocuSign, Brex, Salesforce, Tableau, and Microsoft. In those roles, she led high-performance engineering, data, and product teams through rapid growth and modernization. Kwok also led the adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and advanced system architecture to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability. Throughout her career, she has successfully led technology transformations, cloud migrations, platform scalability initiatives, and large-scale product development.

McLain, who has gained years of experience as Portfolio Director for Nava’s federal health portfolio, will oversee enterprise-level efforts and deepen partnerships with federal agencies such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). During his tenure at Nava, McLain consistently demonstrated a unique ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, align strategic vision with mission-critical objectives, and deliver results that make a tangible impact on the health and well-being of millions of Americans.

“Marvin's promotion is a reflection of his strategic foresight, technical depth, and relentless drive to deliver outcomes that matter,” Leo said. “His leadership has been instrumental in our growth and our ability to support agencies with purpose-driven, human-centered digital services.”

With over a decade of experience in management consulting, program oversight, and healthcare IT strategy, McLain has successfully led cross-functional teams, supported transformational initiatives, and served as a trusted advisor to federal leaders navigating modernization efforts. Throughout his career, including prior roles at Deloitte, Noblis, Booz Allen Hamilton, and TISTA, McLain has championed data strategy, agile delivery, and human-centered design in support of federal health missions.
