We’re excited to announce that Sam Elmi, previously our Director of People Strategy, will assume the role of Director of People Services, focusing on strong operations and services for all Nava employees.
Nava’s mission as a public benefit corporation is to help government provide simple, accessible, and effective services. We know we can only succeed at this work if Nava is first and foremost a great place to work. That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome Sam’s expertise in human resources, performance management, and professional development.
Sam is an experienced human resources professional who joined Nava’s People Operations team in 2023. He has helped us build a People Strategy department from the ground up, assembling a strong team that positions Nava to create a world-class training and development function. Under Sam’s direction, Nava developed an employee experience strategy and vision based on employee engagement surveys. Sam’s team also delivered Nava's first-ever Training and Development roadmap and conducted our inaugural organization-wide compliance training. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
