Nava is honored to have won a prime position on the competitive U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Secure, Performant, Reliable, and User-Centered Experiences (SPRUCE) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle, along with our joint venture partner Aquia Inc. With this five-year, $2.4 billion contract vehicle, we’ll be able to bid on mission-aligned work improving digital experiences and infrastructure for Veterans and VA staff.
As a public benefit corporation working to make government services simple, effective, and accessible, we’re excited to have the opportunity to support VA’s modernization goals.
“We’re incredibly proud that VA’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer selected our joint venture for such an important contract vehicle,” said Nava chief executive officer and Co-founder, Rohan Bhobe. “By offering our shared experience in human-centered design, software development, IT operations, and data management, we’ll help VA deliver best-in-class experiences to our nation’s Veterans and their families.”
Our joint venture unites two organizations with experience driving change through human-centered digital solutions. We’ll leverage this expertise to deliver even better digital services and outcomes that foment trust in VA’s work.
“As a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, serving VA has been our goal since day one,” said Aquia co-founder and chief revenue officer, David Maskeroni. “Our cloud and cybersecurity expertise complements Nava's strengths in human-centered design and software development, positioning our team to deliver solutions that will make a difference for our country’s Veterans.”
VA was one of the first agencies Nava partnered with almost ten years ago, when we helped build technology that enabled VA staff to make appeals decisions more quickly. Since then, we’ve worked with VA on everything from redesigning va.gov to helping Veterans get disability benefits during the pandemic. With the SPRUCE award, we look forward to accelerating and amplifying our support for VA well into the future.
